VI. ISTANBUL INTERNATIONAL CHORUS COMPETITION & FESTIVAL 21 -25 JULY 2016
HARMAN CULTURE & FESTIVAL ORGANIZATION was found in 1987 from ISTANBUL in TURKEY . HARMAN CULTURE & FESTIVAL ORG. arranges six different INT. CULTURE FESTIVAL between April ! September every year in TURKEY. The year was 2011 and it was the first time in TURKEY and for our International Competition too. In 2016 we will arrange VI. Edition of it, within last Five years
there were totally 79 groups.
INFORMATION COMPETITION : In 2016 we will invite 18 Choir & Folk music groups from all over the World . Our aim is not only gathered the groups to this very well known international event but also to show the beauty of Istanbul which is the most beautiful city in the World, also visiting historical at the period of theirs staying in Istanbul. GENERAL INFORMATION : Festival organisation committee will provide one English speaking guide to each group for helping programme schedule. At the period of the competition-festival choir groups one day competition ,one day opening of the festival, one day sightseeing visiting historical area , one day shopping and beach, one day traditional the best excursion in the World with private Boat at lovely Bosphorus (separate Europe-Asia). Besides each groups will receive Placate, certificate, for highest scores for each category CUP and among all categories who has the highest score will receive ISTCUP and Each singer will get Medal and certificate.
GENERAL CONDITIONS : Most programs are held in the evening however, some day time programs are also scheduled. Performances are approximately 10-12 minutes. The time of the performance allowed will be strictly limited. All groups will performance day PUPLIC CONCERT open air and one day COMPETITION at the concert hall.
The groups will arrive here on 21 JULY at afternoon (will provide only dinner at that day) and groups will leave from the festival on 25 JULY after breakfast. https://www.youtube.com/harmanfolk
If Group accept and agree with the competition and festival conditions, have to fill up the APPLICATION FORM and send us back with a short brief about their background and their previously activities in abroad and group photos by e-mail with attachment file. During the festival, there will be two times of gift exchanges, one of them with Municipality Mayor and one of them with the festival committee at welcoming meeting.
- CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION International Istanbul Chorus Competition is open for both amateur chorus and folk singing groups. Chorus may enter the competition in maximum two categories. Competition Groups can play and sing whatever they like when they will be on their performance place. Chorus may enter the competition in the following categories, with the number of members and the age-limits indicated below.

II. ACTIVITIES DURING THE FESTIVAL; Group will visit historical area in Europe side in Sultanahmet, BLUE MOSQUE (Sultanahmet mosque- free entry) and SAINT SOPHIA (10 â‚¬,per person), TOPKAPI PALACE (10 â‚¬,per person), GRAND BAZAAR free . PRIVATE BOAT TOUR (10 â‚¬, per person), one day during the festival period, there will be a swimming possibility at MARMARA SEA BEACH ( 5 euro) . Participation groups will be able to see PUBLIC BAZAAR and big SHOPPING CENTERS,
III. TECHNICAL & ARTISTIC INFORMATIONS: All the basics are providing by the festival organization, such as lightening, one stage side for musicians with microphones participation groups. The groups will perform at the open-air stages one night and one day the groups will be in competition at covered concert saloon.
IV. ACCOMMODATION Full-board in a University Dormitory 95 â‚¬ / per person/( 4 nights 5 days ) We will provide to you three meals per day ( lunches with packed meal ) and accommodation at the University dormitory, each room has 6 beds capacity and suitable for max. 4 people using, pillow, sheet, blanket wardrobe. Toilet and showers are at the same floor. Free parking lot. Basketball and Football area, canteen, buffet, library, rehearsal rooms.
FREE OF CHARGE : If groups come 30 people one group leader free of charge. . 31-45 people or more than, 2 group leaders free of charge. If groups will come by their own bus, drivers free of charge too. we can’t provide rooms for couples. We can only provide double rooms for drivers or leader.
Full-board in a 3 STARS HOTEL 145 â‚¬ / per person/ all Festival time ( 4 nights 5 days )
We will provide to you three meals per day (lunches with packed meal) and accommodation . each room has 2-3-4 beds, toilet, showers. If group come more than 35 people one leader free
Full-board in a 4 STARS HOTEL 160 â‚¬ / per person/ all Festival time ( 4 nights 5 days )
We will provide to you three meals per day (lunches with packed meal) and accommodation at the 4* hotel centrum in Kadikoy, each room has 2-3 beds, toilet, showers, free internet and security.

If group is going to by PLANE, we are going to hire the bus for their all ground transportations. Groups will pay this bus cost. Bus serves throughout the festival dates (Airport transfers, excursions program transfers (group will visit historical area in Europe side only once), and transfers to the field performance).
At the first day of the festival transportation fee should be paid to the festival committee. This is the cost of BUS for max. 44 person, totally 1200 â‚¬. If group number of participant less than 20 person bus cost is 990 â‚¬ . If group is coming by own BUS, the group will not pay us these transportation fee. The groups are going to pay the bus parking fees, tolls and gasoline expenses during the festival (the all ground transportations will take almost 150 km.). Festival committee wonâ€™t give any petrol for all ground transportations to the buses.
P.S: All payments have to be pay in cash (travel-cheque not acceptable) at the first day of the festival. If the group wants to stay at hotel, they should send their deposit (1000 Euro) until end of May 2016, in order to pay to hotel reservation; if you want to stay at single room we can arrange it with extra fee. FOR EXTRA DAYS; it is possible to organize, such as; for dormitory 20 euro, 3* hotel 30 euro, 4* hotel 40 euro-per person for one day. Deposit is non-refundable.
